IRODA is always in need of new dedicated volunteers! If you are studying Psychology, interested in working with autistic children, or would like to work behind the scenes with our advocacy program, then please read more information below about the expectations of volunteering with us.
International and local volunteers are welcome. |
AUA Volunteer, Catie Carson, works on an art therapy project with IRODA's Early Intervention Program.

Expectations of a Volunteer
- Consistency: Every IRODA Volunteer must regularly come in to work or volunteer. Irregular attendance is less beneficial for the children and the IRODA education program. One-time volunteering is possible but must be confirmed by IRODA staff.
- Enthusiasm: Every IRODA Volunteer must be excited and ready to work with the children and staff. This expectation includes being open to the variety of students and children IRODA accepts.
- Flexibility: Every IRODA Volunteer must be flexible when working with the children. When things do not go as planned, an IRODA Volunteer must be ready to improvise and come up with a new objective.
Past Volunteer Work

PA Shodi- Alegria
PA Shodi- Alegria volunteers assisted with fundraising events, public awareness campaigns, and several celebratory events (more about this partnership here[ADD LINK]). |
Other Local Volunteers
The individuals are typically students, both secondary school and university, but also are volunteers that aren't associated with a specific organization or program. They volunteer their time by translating for international volunteers and working with the children on a day-to-day basis. |
